The Beginning
In January 2010, an online presence is very important, especially when you run a small office in downtown Vancouver and work in the film industry. When Mark was looking to work on some films, he called up his old agent who now worked for Boss Management. After seeing the website, Mark became skeptical about the agency but knew his agent was on the level and very hard working. Mark waited until after Christmas and was looking for some clients to work with to build a portfolio. He approached Boss Management’s owner, Sonya and she was very happy to let him reinvent the online presence of Boss Management.

Digital Fork assisted Sonya in developing the idea to create a clean site that allowed them to blog about recent bookings, put a call out for new faces via twitter, post pictures and be simple to use. The site also required that potential clients could easily apply through an online system, eliminating them coming into the office until Boss Management was accepting new clients. This was a complete reinvention of Boss Management from the online presence that would reinstill confidence in the Agency from Producers and Talent.

The Process
Through consultation and a close working relationship, Digital Fork and Boss Management developed a solid strategy to rebuild the site quickly and effectively. Digital Fork Design conducted marketing research. Once the research was complete, Digital Fork used social media techniques to rebuild the site and position it to generate results that would rank Boss Management high in the major search engines.

Digital Fork designed a site that was easy for the agents to update their blog, post twitter messages and have a clean design that attracted customers. The design was put together with the idea that the site could be updated easily and implement new technologies as required.

Once Boss Management’s site was published, the results were immediately evident. Boss Management was bombarded with new applicants. Viewers to the site immediatedly had a new outlook on the agency and agents were estatic that they could update the site regularly and easily. Boss Management’s success continued and when business picked up in early 2010, Boss was ready.

The Successes
Boss Mangement is renovating their office and bookings have been steady. In order to accommodate the anticipated growth, Boss Management is workign with Digital Fork to help automate their office procedures. Since the start of 2010, Digital Fork Design has helped create buzz for their agency. Their website can take subscribers and people are actually interested in following them on twitter. By providing this service, Boss Management has become more prominent in the Vancouver Film Industry and is planning expansion across North America.
